Nemo wins Eurovision 2024 with "The Code
It's a done deal! The bookmakers had (almost) predicted it, so it's Nemo who has finally won Eurovision 2024 with his song pop-rap opera "The Code after collecting 591 points (including 22 times the "twelve points" awarded by the national juries), ahead of Croatia's Baby Lasagna and his energetic Rim Tim Tagi Dim (547 points), and Ukraine in third place (453 points).
Our French representative Slimane finished a very fine fourth, less than ten points behind Ukraine.
Since last Monday, the betting public had been watching Baby Lasagna's "comeback", with the odds of success reaching almost 50%, and Nemo's chances of victory dropping significantly. The suspense was therefore at its height in the Malmö Arena shortly before 1am when the points were awarded.
This marks the third time that Switzerland has won the competition, following on from the success of Lys Assia in 1956 and Céline Dion in 1988, 36 years ago!
