Our smart tip : Yes, the prices are rather high. But it really is an incredible experience. For that price, you get 4 hours of the final show, with no fewer than 30 unique performances. In any case, we recommend that you avoid the ‘limited view’ tickets. Unless you want to see all the artists from the back or from a long, long way away (experience speaks for itself 🙂 ! And in the pit it's even better (but bring good, comfortable shoes, you'll have to stand throughout the show AND in the queue at the entrance to the arena).

Plan B if you don't have Arena tickets: Arena Plus

For fans unable to get tickets to watch the final live, the organisers have provided an alternative by broadcasting the event at St. Jakob-Park, Switzerland's largest football stadium, with a capacity of up to 36,000. This special evening will feature a grand opening show with Swiss and international artists, an appearance by Eurovision stars, exclusive moments captured from backstage in the arena, and the show broadcast on giant screens!

Our smart tip Getting a ticket for this stadium is a great alternative if you can't get one for the arena or if your budget doesn't allow it.

Getting to Basel and local accommodation

How do I get to Basel?

Basel is easily accessible from many points in Europe, thanks to its strategic position on the border between Switzerland, France and Germany. For international visitors, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport is the main point of arrival, served by direct flights from many major European cities. From the airport in France, the city centre can be reached in around twenty minutes by public transport or taxi.

Rail travellers will be able to take advantage of efficient connections thanks to the Swiss rail network (CFF), as well as TGV and ICE trains linking Basel to Paris, Frankfurt or Milan in just a few hours.

Finally, for those who prefer to travel by car, the city is well served by the European motorways (A35 and A3). Once you're here, Basel's public transport system, renowned for its punctuality and practicality, will make it easier for you to get around the city.

Where to stay during Eurovision 2025?

When it comes to accommodation, prices soar every year in the run-up to the week of the contest. So accommodation in Basel during Eurovision 2025 could prove expensive, especially if you opt for accommodation in the heart of the city. Hotels close to the venue and in the city centre are generally very popular during the contest. Delegations, organising teams, media and fans all need to be accommodated. So it's advisable to book well in advance. However, for those looking for more affordable options, staying in France, in the vicinity of Saint-Louis or Huningue, may be an interesting alternative. These towns, just across the border, offer a range of accommodation at prices often lower than those in Basel, while remaining close by thanks to excellent public transport links. Cross-border buses and trains take you to Basel in just 20 to 30 minutes. Platforms such as Airbnb or chambres d'hôtes in France are also options to consider for a friendly and economical stay. Whether you choose to stay in Switzerland or France, booking early remains the key to guaranteeing accommodation that suits your budget.

Our smart tip Don't delay in booking your accommodation and transport. Take out tickets that can be cancelled free of charge so that you can get your money back if you don't manage to get tickets. Don't forget to look at the platforms around Basel and also in France. It can be really cost-effective to stay 30 or even 45 minutes from the arena (as has been the case in Liverpool and Malmö).
