Without too many surprises, John Lundvik and Måns Zelmerlöw have qualified with flying colours, but nothing is certain for this final. John's song is strong as usual, but rather conventional. Måns' song reuses the ingredients of Heroes, but fortunately his team have managed to magnify the stage work. The real danger could come from Kaja group of comedians from Finland who, with their " Bara bada bastu casts doubt on a number of predictions.

It has to be said, they've got a lot going for them. Eccentric outfits, a fun, catchy feel, accordion music, cool choreography and an authentic Nordic touch. A break with the usual Swedish style, which is often criticised for being too formatted. Their little extra? The phrase in their song "ei saa peittää »", which appears on every radiator in Sweden and means "don't cover »" in Finnish. It's a recurring joke in Sweden and part of our shared culture.
